Magma Wall vs Stone Wall — when do you pick which?

Both walls conjure a barrier between you and your cursor, but they're built for different jobs. Magma Wall lasts a flat 10 seconds and burns anything that touches it — it's a weapon as much as a wall. Stone Wall does zero damage, but it's considerably tougher to carve through, and its duration scales from 2 up to 20 seconds with level — at high level it's the better pure blocker. I mostly see magma used offensively (cutting off a fleeing target's escape route) and stone defensively (sealing a corridor to break a chase). Is that how everyone plays them? Any clever uses I'm missing — walling bosses, protecting a farming spot, pinning someone against terrain?
