Crafting — which recipes did you unlock first?

Now that crafting has been out for a bit, I'm curious how people are speccing into it. Between recipe unlocks and the power cap you can't rush everything at once, so the order matters — and a wrong early unlock is a lot of wasted materials. Three questions for the crafters: which recipe did you unlock first, and do you regret it? What's the material that actually gates your progress — my money is on the rarer ores rather than components? And has anyone crafted something that genuinely beat a boss drop for the same slot, or is crafting still mostly for filling gaps in a loadout?
